TDS Women's Division I Top 25: Sept. 16
Another week, another new No. 1 program sits atop the Women's DI Top 25.
Virginia slots into top spot after picking up a win against William & Mary and defeating then-No. 6 Penn State by a 2-1 score at State College on Sunday. The Cavaliers have now won all eight of their games this season, outscoring opposing sides by 35-3 over that stretch.

The ACC side replaces North Carolina, which suffered their first defeat of 2019 on Sunday, losing by a 2-0 score on the road at Arkansas. It was one of many upsets over the weekend: Stanford lost 1-0 on the road at Pepperdine on Friday night, Michigan traveled to Washington State and edged the Cougars, Louisville knocked off No. 8 Vanderbilt by a 1-0 score in overtime and Clemson defeated in-state rivals South Carolina, to name just a few.
USC avoided any upset of their own, and sit in No. 2 in this week's rankings, followed by UCLA, North Carolina and Stanford.
